They Say It’s Like “Miracle-Grow” For the Brain

What if I told you that there was a substance that will make you feel happier and have a better memory? Would you be interested?

What if I told you that this substance will also help reduce junk food cravings, help you learn new things easier, and help you build newer and stronger brain cells no matter your age?

What if I also told you that it was free and accessible in just minutes, no matter where you were?

You may say that it sounds too good to be true, but luckily, it’s not.

Study after study is being released that shows that Brain Derived Neurotropic Factor (BDNF), is doing all of this and more. Scientists are amazed by these findings.

In fact, Harvard Psychiatrist and Author of the book “Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain” Dr. John Ratey, calls BDNF “miracle grow for the brain.” This isbecause of its ability to help build new brain cells and maximize the functional capabilities of current ones.

So How Do You Access This Miracle Molecule?

Although you can’t supplement with BDNF, your brain does produce it in response to certain triggers. It’s no surprise that the greatest trigger is high intensity exercise, but there are others as well.

This article gives a pretty comprehensive and evidence based overview of some of the best ways to trigger BDNF. If you care about your brain health, I highly recommend reading the article and following the advice.

8 Ways to Increase BDNF Levels

Also worth checking out is a recording of a lecture I gave a few months ago called “Optimal Exercises for Heart, Lung and Brain Health.” In it, I discuss BDNF and how to best trigger it through exercise. Check that out here:

I hope you find this information valuable. Please pass this newsletter along to anyone you know is concerned about the health of their brain.

Happy Growing! God Bless!
