Here are the Current Safety and Sanitation Procedures

Hey my friend! Thanks for checking out this article!

I thought it would be a good idea to share with you what’s going on at the gym and what things that are being done to ensure our clients safety.

First off, I’ll tell you that the gym is NOTHING like it used to be. For one thing, there are VERY few people in there compared to how it used to be. Our overall usage is down over 50% and it is very rare for me to see more than 4 or 5 people in the entire building (other than the few staff members) at any given time.

This has created a wonderful opportunity for my clients to exercise in a semi private gym. In fact, there are times when my client and I have entire rooms to ourselves, something that was quite rare before.

Also, every staff member is temperature checked upon entry and nobody with a high temperature can work.

Everyone has a mask on at all times.

Everyone receives hand sanitizer upon entry.

Equipment is cleaned before and after each use.

All equipment is cleaned again at the end of every hour.

Every other hour a cleaning woman comes in and cleans the bathrooms and other trafficked areas.

Social distance rules are in place, so there is a maintained physical gap between us and our clients.

So far, I have had a handful of clients come back and they’ve all been very impressed with the level of safety, including those with underlying conditions who would be classified as “high risk.”

For those who are receiving MAT services, you have even more privacy, because those sessions are done in my home office (located about 8 minutes from the gym).

In my home office, it is only myself and my client.

If you want to be the first one of the day, that can often be possible.

Masks are worn and the table is sanitized before and after each person.

In addition, I have been tested 8 times (as of 8/16) and I will continue to be tested regularly.

I also have an early detection device called an “Oura Ring” which would give me physiological indicators of the virus even if I was asymptomatic or still in the incubation stage. This is the same device currently worn by NBA players for the same reason.

I am also on high alert to any type of symptoms and if I experience any, I will tell my clients and give them the option to cancel without penalty.

I am very much open to suggestions also, so if there is something more that I can do to make you feel at ease please let me know.

I hope you found this helpful. I look forward to seeing you again!

Chris
